Large Wild Cats Spotted In Jackson Area
By Roslyn Anderson

Are wild cats, like bobcats and cougars, roaming the Jackson area? Some say they've been spotted in the open near businesses in Jackson.

Around four weeks ago, Earnest Ragsdale was on security detail at Stanley's Liquor and Wines on State Street. He believes he saw a cougar with a black tipped tail slowly walking beside the business.

Ragsdale said, "I was leaning against the ice machine and when I looked to the side I saw it about right in this area and when I moved it took off running. It took two jumps and it was across the highway. Bobcats have like a little stubby tail but this one had a long there so there was no way it was a bobcat." ( More here )
