Eight Amazonian piranhas were found in a Ukrainian lake after fishermen reported being attacked by the unfamiliar species, local media said Friday.
Eight female piranhas ranging from seven to 13 centimeters (2.7 to five inches) in length were fished out of Kasyanka lake near the eastern city of Dnipropetrovsk, the daily Gazeta reported.

JERUSALEM - Israeli scientists have discovered an ancient ecosystem containing eight previously unknown species in a lake inside a cave, where they were completely sheltered from the outside world for millions of years.
